Dallas, Texas

Dallas’ Dragon Boat Festival is not something to overlook.  Hosted at Bath House Cultural Center under the shade of White Rock Lake’s majestic oak trees, the event filled the area with tent after tent of boat racers, artist stalls, and crafts like upcycled kimonos with What’s Wong Art (@whatswongart) and a kid-friendly collage-flower activity with Lo Song (@lure.n). Performers in beautiful traditional clothes showcased everything from Chinese fan dancing to kung fu, while the rowers, some of whom had come from as far as Oklahoma City, braved the lake’s windy waters.

Bath House Cultural Center has been working with the City of Dallas Office of Arts & Culture to be a vessel for the arts. This spring, Bath House has been hosting a monthly free family art fair called Family Arts Bash.
